5. Paz: How Did She Survive?
I won't get into the technical aspects of Peace Walker, but what you need to know about Paz is that she ended up being an antagonist because Big Boss refused to join her cause. She was then defeated, thrown into the sea by a massive explosion and somehow managed to survive these events and appear in Ground Zeroes. Big Boss appears to have forgiven her by this point, and goes to rescue his former ally along with Chico from a prison camp set up by Cipher, the organisation from Peace Walker. Paz's fate may never be fully explored, and it's unknown how much of a major role she'll play in the Phantom Pain. We do know however that Cipher suspected her of betrayal in Ground Zeroes, and have planted a bomb in her stomach. Oh dear.
