This roster features players who have started their careers in Toronto and either showed great potential or blossomed into superstars on different teams. Damon Stoudamire was the first player ever selected by the Raptors and during his three years there he averaged over 18 points and 8 assists per game. Marcus Camby spent just two years with the Raptors, but became known as a very promising defender, while Doug Christie and Antonio Davis established themselves as prime defenders after they joined the Raptors.
The starting lineup is optimal to present-day standards of small-ball basketball, but obviously it can be adjusted. Actually, the Raptors' roster is one of the most versatile and interesting in the game.
