Sonics fans deserve this team just as much as they deserve a real one. Former superstars like Payton, Kemp or Schrempf are very vocal about not wanting to have their numbers retired by the Thunder. This obviously has nothing to do with Oklahoma City, a great basketball city that really loves its team.
More so, the former players are showing respect to THEIR city, which embraced them and forgave whenever they fell short of reaching the championship. The ones that didn't are: Sikma, Johnson, Williams and Brown, who delivered the sole title to the city of Seattle in 1979.
The Sonics are a perfect combination of defense (Payton, McMillan), shooting (Ellis, Brown) and athleticism (Kemp, McDaniel). Undoubtedly one of the most fun teams to play in NBA 2K18. Hopefully.
