Nintendo Switch: 10 Console Features It Desperately Needs

The PS4 got it, so where are the Switch's custom themes?

Nintendo fans rejoice: the Switch is a great success.

Great reviews, great starting sales and the promise of exciting first and third party support has given Nintendo's newest console a solid start. A truly unique console, the Switch has plenty going for it, and given some extra development and truly good games to buy across the next few months, could become the surprise hit of the year.

Despite the positive aspects of the system though, there are also several different features that definitely need to be added.

Many of these missing features detract from what could otherwise be a positive Switch experience, whereas others are simply confusing omissions that make the Switch feel like it was rushed during development, possibly in order to release in a time when the market is clear of competitors. Naturally this isn't helped by a barren launch lineup and lack of shippable units, though those are separate issues altogether.

With the PS4 Pro releasing late in December 2016 and the Xbox Scorpio supposedly dropping later this year, its understandable why Nintendo would choose release the Switch as early as they can in 2017. Clearly this has resulted in several features of the Switch being underdeveloped, something that can easily be fixed by adding these ten features.
