PlayStation Classic: 10 Best Games NOT Included

Another one low down on the list because of an imminent remaster, MediEvil was a brilliant hack and slash adventure game. The first trailer for the PS4's MediEvil recently dropped and fans are understandably excited to jump back into Sir Dan's armour. Considering they'll be able to play through the fantastically fun game again soon, it's not too big a loss that it's not on the Classic. Still, it's a wonderful game of that era and deserves to be part of the conversation.

MediEvil was Dark Souls before there was Dark Souls. While not quite as tricky as the unholy pit of time, misery and endless defeats that Dark Souls is, there were more than enough challenging bosses in MediEvil that could wreck you if you weren’t prepared. Nabbing extra weapons like crossbows was essential to topple the most difficult foes.

The design team set out to create a cocktail of Ghouls n Goblins and The Nightmare Before Christmas with a little bit of Zelda mixed in and boy, did they deliver. The sequel was a disappointment, as was the PSP remake but hopefully the PS4 version will have the same love and craft of the original outing.
