Red Dead Redemption 2: Everything We Know About Red Dead Online

7. There'll Be Timed Exclusivity

Kicking things off with a somewhat sombre note is the fact that PS4 users will get timed exclusive Red Dead content. What they'll involve is still yet to be revealed, but with single player DLC not having featured in Rockstar's last title, we can expect future DLC to revolve around the game's online component.

This is bad news no matter which way you look at it. Of all the latest gaming trends, timed exclusivity has to be up there with the worse, and though there'll obviously be players out there satisfied with the fact that they've gotten the edge on their console cohorts by a few months or so, one can't help but feel that it's all rather petty.

If anything, this comes as something of an ugly surprise. No matter your opinion on GTA Online's content, even though it was locked behind a paywall for most of the time, it released on every platform - Xbox, PC and PlayStation - at the same time. In Red Dead's case, the delay just feels pointless.
