ZERO spoilers, because we don't want to see them either.

It's finally here, Naughty Dog's super-shiny, top-tier exclusive that just happens to double as one of the most anticipated games of all time. Surviving multiple delays, key development staff departing and even a real-life van raid that resulted in a number of copies getting out in the open, if you're anything like me, you've been cautiously avoiding comment sections and coverage for fear of anything being spoiled.

Well fret not, as I've done the heavy literary-lifting for you. The following points are all you need to know in the run-up to May 10th, and thankfully, the general consensus is that Naughty Dog have done it again.

Uncharted 4 looks to be every bit worth the hype, and it's about time the PS4 had an exclusive that champions its capabilities like the fans have done through sales of the console itself.

9. The Story Is Another Landmark In Gaming

"This is less a breezy lad€™s tale revelling in fortune and glory and more a story about the lads when they€™re all grown up, bolstered by an equally developed graphics engine and career-high performances from its cast." - Lucy O'Brien, IGN
"Uncharted 4 drives its narrative forward with a rare understanding of its characters, its world, and the gameplay tying them all together. It's a stunning combination of disparate parts. It's a breathtaking marvel of a game." - Mike Mahardy, Gamespot

If there's one thing that identifies the 'new Naughty Dog' of this decade, it's storytelling. From Jak & Daxter's later instalments that would usher in a more mature tone, Uncharted played around with this idea by introducing entirely human characters, and The Last of Us knocked it out the park with one of the most emotionally affecting narratives of all time.

Now, with Uncharted 4, scribes Bruce Straley and Neil Druckmann have done it again. As two of the finest literary minds in the industry today, they always noted that they'd only 'do another Uncharted' if the story was worth telling.

Without delving into spoilers, every critic is noting just how incredibly well put together the story is from all sides. Not only is this a coming of age tale for the studio, the characters and the franchise, but it is for you as a gamer too.

We've grown up alongside Drake, and that lends a level of resonance to the events onscreen that only a handful of franchises have, or will ever, match.
