Wii U Launch: 6 Franchises That Should Have Been Included

2. Super Smash Bros.

Nintendo€™s games always strive to be several things; interactive, fun and great social experiences, and no franchise better combines these values than Smash Bros. Not only does the series act as a great advert for the many franchises owned by Nintendo, as some of its most famous characters smash each other to bits, but it also manages to generate some of the most exciting, competitive and memorable moments available to gamers. With a fantastic line-up of third party titles coming to the Wii U for the first time (including Mass Effect 3, Assassin€™s Creed III and Bayonetta 2), a Wii U Smash Bros. would present Nintendo with the fantastic opportunity to feature characters such as Commander Shepard, Bayonetta and Connor alongside regulars such as Mario, Link and Kirby. Not only would it be great to see such famous and varied characters duke it out, but it would also be a clever way for Nintendo to demonstrate that the WiiU offers a brilliant mix of classic Nintendo franchises, alongside the multi-platform titles that gamers love.
