WWE 2K14: 5 Required Additions To Immerse The Player

484172_427792140646660_1845456697_n Lately, all the buzz throughout the gaming community has been about the €œnext ten€ consoles, and rightfully so. What€™s more exciting as a gamer than some lovely new hardware to drool over? As a member of the majority who own and are fans of both Xbox and PS3, I can€™t help but get a little bored over the fan boys stripping both consoles apart before any real demos have been shown. So for me, the next most exciting upcoming release, bar the coming soon but not soon enough GTA V, is WWE 2K14. This year we see a new publisher take the reins and one that has proven they love the little details in their sports games. As a fan-reactive sport, anything that tries to recreate Wrestling should really pay serious attention to these minor details. Wrestling games sell exclusively to wrestling fans and, as wrestling fans, we know what makes WWE such a great viewing experience and have a vast knowledge of how WWE TV is produced and how it feels. Considering these facts, it has always boggled me as to why recent WWE releases haven€™t changed the look or feel in small, meaningful ways in an effort to totally immerse the player. It€™s been a long time since anything dramatic changed in a WWE release, outside of obvious character changes and small tweaks to the engine, what I want is more focus being paid to how the game relates to the spectacle and surroundings you play in. I won€™t go into too many details as I will go into this further over the following pages. What I am hoping to highlight are 5 fairly simple changes or additions to the experience that would benefit the game tenfold because, let€™s face it, we want something a little less vanilla this year.
