WWE 2K16: 10 Wrestlers More Deserving Of Being Cover Star

9. Kevin Owens

Few wrestlers have had the kind of impact Kevin Owens has since debuting on the main roster. After two match of the year candidates against John Cena, Owens would provide another when he dropped the NXT Championship to Finn Balor, and he's now gearing up for a third sure to be modern classic against the United States Champion at Battleground. If NXT is going to be a big part of WWE 2K16's expanded roster, a WWE Superstar who has a foot both there and in the WWE seems like an ideal candidate to star on the cover of the game. Owens has done a great job of bridging the gap between the two different parts of the company and made it clear that anyone on the NXT roster is more than capable of playing with the big boys on Raw and SmackDown. Perhaps he's simply too new to the company and the main roster in general to be deemed worthy, but putting Owens on the cover of 2K16 would have solidified his status as one of the WWE's hottest stars, and made a clear statement that they're finally looking to the future by capitalising on the amazing talent who have made NXT more of a must-watch wrestling show than what airs on a Monday and Thursday combined.
