WWE 2K18: 10 Ways To Make It The Perfect Game

9. Enhanced Customisation Options

The 2K series prides itself on customisation, but while some elements of the creation suite are suitably in-depth, others are sorely lacking. Create-A-Wrestler and Create-An-Entrance are comprehensive, but slow loading times and clunky interfaces mean they’re often a chore to navigate. Cleaning these systems up would help make what should be one of the game’s most enjoyable features feel like less of a chore, and must be prioritised.

Beyond technical improvements, arena creation is still relatively shadow, and offers little differentiation from template to template, aside from a handful of minor details. Chaining random combinations of moves together in Create-A-Finisher was always a lot of fun too, and the feature should be reinstated for 2K18. Then there are smaller improvements like custom entrance themes, a larger name database, the ability to edit existing wrestlers, and countless others.

With the cult Fire Pro series (and its near-infinite customisation options) set to make a comeback, 2K have no excuse not to step their game up in this department. We’re not calling for a complete revamp of what is a pretty solid system, but there are clearly a few nuts and bolts to be tightened.
