10 More Horror Movie Villains Who Got The Best Revenge

They got away scot-free...

There are few things that motivate human beings more than revenge, especially in the world of cinema. And when a person is humiliated, abandoned, or betrayed in a horror flick, it's no surprise when they seek vengeance.

Even though a villain's motives can be somewhat justified, a lot of them take things way too far. For example, Jason Voorhees has come back to life six or seven times, solely to punish those he blames for his mother's death, and Jigsaw planned out protocols to torture his victims long after he kicked the bucket.

Normally, the hero defeats these adversaries before they have a chance to complete their revenge. But every once in a while, the evildoers come out on top. Through careful planning, blind determination, and an unexplained ability to cheat death, serial killers, cannibals, and demons manage to triumph.

Although it can be disappointing to see the good guys lose, movie fans have to admire these antagonists for emerging victorious, especially if they cooked up a genuinely brilliant plan and went through absolute hell to accomplish it.

Although 10 Horror Movie Villains Who Got The Best Revenge has been covered before, here's ten more horror villains who achieved the best revenge possible.

10. Ulf - Midsommar

Ari Aster's folk horror opens with Dani suffering a family tragedy, compelling her neglectful boyfriend, Christian, to let her join him and his friends on a Harga festival in Sweden.

The relaxing retreat is cut short when Dani discovers the commune they are staying with intend to make nine human sacrifices to complete a ritual. One of the Harga members, Pelle, emphasises this ritual is necessary and there is no ill feelings towards the people being sacrificed.

Except for one.

Christian's friend, Mark, repeatedly proves to have zero respect for the commune's customs (or anything for that matter). At one point, he urinates on a tree, oblivious it is a sacred structure. One member, Ulf, is left inconsolable by Mark's actions, causing him to collapse on the grass in tears.

So, when Mark is later executed, it isn't just a sacrifice; it's payback. Not content with simply murdering Mark, Ulf wears the desecrator's face like a mask to violate his corpse, just like his tree was violated.

Despite already being very dead, the Harga continue to disrespect Mark by placing a jester hat on his remains before burning it alongside the other sacrifices.
