9. Jeremy Melton - Valentine
In Jamie Blanks' holiday-themed slasher, a quintet of sorority girls are prepping for Valentine's Day when they discover a masked killer called Cherub is targeting them. One member of the group, Kate, suspects their pursuer is Jeremy Melton; a nosebleed-suffering schoolmate who was falsely accused of taking advantage of a girl several years ago.
In the final scene, Kate finds herself cornered by Cherub after the masked maniac has murdered the rest of her friends. Suddenly, Cherub is shot dead by Kate's boyfriend, Adam Carr.
When Cherub is unmasked, she's revealed to be Dorothy; the person who spread the rumour that Jeremy took advantage of her. Adam theorises that Dorothy went mad with guilt, inspiring her to become a murderer.
As the pair embrace, Adam's nose bleeds, proving he's Jeremy Melton. In that moment, it becomes clear "Adam" was the killer all along, and framed Dorothy as Cherub.
With the benefit of hindsight, it doesn't seem like Jeremy's plot for revenge could've turned out better. He slaughtered everyone who rejected him, got away with murder, put the blame on the person who ruined his reputation, and got the girl of his dreams, with her being none-the-wiser of his true nature.
