Last night, we posted pictures of the costume
artwork for Chris Evans' Captain America and now it looks like
Collider have got their hands on official concept art for Marvel's other 2011 release,
Thor starring
Chris Hemsworth. Below are the two
Thor pictures, which when compared with
the official image released in April, looks to be legit; the chest-plate, hair and cape match up perfectly. Also it's clearly from the same artist as the
Captain America image, so it's authenticity isn't reality in doubt... This then, marks the first look at
Thor below the waist and now we can see his Wellington-esque (though obviously much cooler) boots.
Thor fans might be disappointed to see that these new images do not show
NO HELMET!!, which may indicate that Marvel have discarded it from their costume. Indeed it wasn't part of that official image released last year either.

Shakespearean actor and director
Kenneth Branagh is taking the helm for
Thor and despite some stinkers in his filmography recently, we are excited to see what he can do with the Norse God of Thunder. Hemsworth has clearly filled out lately for the role and although he may not be as butch and big as Stan Lee's creation; do we really want to see another ginormous
Hulk version of a Marvel hero again? Me thinks not.
Thor is due for release on May 6th, 2011, and also stars
Natalie Portman as love interest Jane Foster,
Anthony Hopkins as Odin and
Tom Hiddleston as the villain Loki make-up the core cast of the film.
