shoegaze/doom pop/rock Taking their name from the exact moment in a Melvins€™ song (A History of Bad Men) where the bassline becomes both €œdoomy and dreamy€ this sisterly duo clearly know exactly what they to the point of surgical precision. Whilst the Melvins association may immediately portray a particular style and sound, the reasoning behind that association is far more accurate, for these sisters are both €œdoomy and dreamy.€ The atmosphere of their songs bring to mind to drudgey and dreamy late night moods of shoegaze, but the guitars are prone to change gear from fuzzed out ambience into sludgey and doom rock €˜n€™ roll riffs and psychedelic guitar lines, all highlighted by hushed and haunting vocals. They€™re proud to air their influences, whether it Melvins, Boris and Queens of the Stone age, or Joan Jett and Patti Smith, or the riot grrl movement with bands like Bikini Kill and Sleater-Kinney, or friends and tourmates alike in the shape The XX, Maccabees and The Big Pink, but they€™ve a sound that is very much all their own. http://youtu.be/VGH7bKlABIc
