7 Good Songs From Bad Metal Albums

5. Rocka Rolla (Judas Priest – Rocka Rolla)

One of the earliest incarnations of the heavy metal sound, Rocka Rolla was the debut album from one of the genre’s biggest bands, and sadly, it’s quite underwhelming.

Judas Priest hadn’t quite landed on their signature sound, and the imperfections on the record are obvious, and they were reflected in the very poor sales figures.

But, when you hear the title track, Rocka Rolla, the talent of the band becomes very clear. Almost acting as a sign of things to come, it was the first instance of a truly great Judas Priest song, with excellent vocal work, a plucky guitar riff, and some seriously catchy lyrics.
