7 Good Songs From Bad Metal Albums

4. Kingmaker (Megadeth – Super Collider)

There was a great deal of hype surrounding the release of Megadeth’s Super Collider album in 2013, so when it came time to listen, our ears were treated to the excellent opening track that was Kingmaker.

The track was thrashy, catchy, and had the standard dark lyrical style that Megadeth are so well known for. It was an impressive start, to say the least, but it all went downhill from there, as the title track Super Collider followed soon after, bringing disappointment with it.

The rest of is album was reminiscent of Megadeth’s worst releases, which were plagued by a generic, effortless, hard rock sound. This was a shame, because if the album had stood to the standard of the opening track, it would certainly be seen among the band’s better releases.
