Opening in 1982, Epcot became the second theme park to open at Walt Disney World, but it was a whole lot different to the Magic Kingdom.

Epcot was built to "entertain, inform and inspire" all the guests that walked through its gates.

Twice the size of Magic Kingdom, Epcot is a mixture of thrilling rides and educational attractions and was designed to showcase what the world was and also what it could be.

Although Walt Disney did not live to see Epcot it was his vision that helped shape and build the park and although it didn't quite turn out to be the place that Walt dreamed of, the park would never have happened without his ideas for a Experimental Prototype Community of Tomorrow.

Walt wanted a place that focused on the future and new technologies and Epcots Future World does just that.

Lets take a look at everything you need to know about the second biggest park at Walt Disney World.
