12. Sony Pulls Dutch Billboard Following Accusations Of Racism While Advertising The PlayStation Portable White

The year 2006 wasn't a great one for Sony - who were forced to pull a Dutch billboard campaign promoting their white PlayStation Portable console following accusations of racism. In the adverts (pictured above), a white woman wearing white clothing and a black woman wearing black clothing were shown in confrontational poses - including this one where the former was gripping the latter's face.

Unsurprisingly, complaints quickly flooded in and Sony withdraw all of the posters.
