15 Awesome Ways To Epically Resign Your Call Centre Job

Well, it's all over. Might as well go out with a bang!

Not all call centre careers are terrible. Some companies run their centres very well. They hire the right people, pay excellent wages, and offer great benefits with opportunities to grow. We won't mention any names, but their initials look like a piece of half-eaten fruit. Then there's the typical call centre, the average customer driven environment that can be more appropriately referred to as our generation's Vietnam. What is so bad about call centres? Is it the distant, numbers-driven robots you call bosses that were hired outside the company and have no idea what you experience on a daily basis? Is it the impossible expectations that grind away at your credibility until you find yourself caught between being let go or quitting? Is it the customers themselves, who call in like an onslaught of never-ending, flesh-eating, army ants? None of the above; call centres suck because they are the places our dreams go to die. Because no one, repeat, no one, began life hoping to make a career talking on the phone with angry people. As we sit there, getting yelled at by some moron, upset at company policy we can't change, knowing our supervisors will review this call with us later, the only solution to save our lives becomes bleakly clear. We got to quit, but not just quit. You got to exit bombastically and put those creative degrees we spent so much money and time to acquire to good use. This place has been sucking on our souls for the past couple of years, and it's time to show the world that there's a piece of the college graduate left inside the shell of a human being who got smoked and spitted up like a five-cent cigar by these hellholes. Go ahead, show them what you're made of. Make like a nuclear meltdown and resign the misery you loathe five days a week. It's time for some customer service industry focused revenge. NOTE: Although you can quit your job in any of the ways mentioned below, we don't recommend it if you want to find gainful employment again any time soon.
