Film: The Lion King Has anyone really gotten over the death of Mufasa? Not only does Scar kill the King to take over the throne, he then manipulates his nephew into believing that he is responsible for his death. Simba runs away from the disgrace and guilt that he has brought upon himself and his family whilst Scar takes over Pride Rock. Not only does Scar lie to the lionesses for years about the death of Mufasa and the disappearance of Simba, but he also completely destroys the land. Everything is turned to dust and Simba's rightful place as King is abandoned, along with all sense of hope. Scar's black mane reveals the colour of his heart, his intentions and his dark desires to rule a kingdom where everyone is forced into serving pledging their loyalty to a murderer. Power Rating: Scar admits that Mufasa was gifted with strength and power whereas he was blessed with intelligence. Despite not being as physically able as Mufasa, Scar is still a lion and has more strength than most; add that on to his cunning, evil plans and you have one powerful villain. He managed to eliminate a King and escape all blame for it.
