His part in the Battle Of Hogwarts cannot be downplayed: he was responsible for the shield charms that protected the castle for so long, he personally took down several Death Eaters, and he was seen possibly killing Antonin Dolohov, one of the most powerful dark wizards in Voldemort's forces.
