Harry Potter: 15 Most Powerful Wizards In The Wizarding World
11. Harry Potter
Some might argue that Harry Potter profits from the assistance of a lot of considerably more gifted sidekicks and mentors throughout the series, and that most of his victories come down to dumb luck, but he was the Chosen One for a reason.
Putting aside the shield that helped him survive TWO Killing Curses (he had nothing to do with either of them), Harry still shows off admirable magical power throughout the books. He can conjure a corporeal patronus (and teach others how to), and he can duel with even hugely powerful Dark Wizards and never lose thanks to his exceptional Defence Against The Dark Art skills.
Perhaps because he essentially becomes the Master Of Death (thanks to owning all three Deathly Hallows), his post Hogwarts career saw him excel as an Auror, and head the department, before becoming the Head of the Department of Magical Law Enforcement. In short, while he's a little awkward as a child, he develops into the real deal as an adult.
