10 Tennis Players Who Could Take Over The Sport

7. Ernests Gulbis

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HSmYYuZewro Allegedly named for Ernest Hemingway, Gulbis is something of a one-off on the tour. His father is one of the wealthiest men in Latvia, and Gulbis travels on his own private jet to reach the raft of famous cities that host major tournaments. A literature buff, thinker and talker, he has been called the most interesting man in tennis, and only a fool would argue. The Latvian reached the quarter-finals of the French Open in 2008, serving notice of his talent but only sporadically taking the sport seriously enough to make any real progress. Recently, Gulbis has traded smoking, drinking and staying up late for applying himself, and results quickly followed. This year, he outplayed Roger Federer to reach the French Open semi-finals, earning himself a place in the world€™s top ten for the first time in his career. His results since have been predictably unpredictable, but Gulbis only just turned 26 and time is €“ barely €“ on his side. Why he could take over the sport: Simply put, in the right frame of mind Gulbis has the talent to trade with the very best. His peculiar, preying-mantis forehand has plenty of pop, his backhand is even better, and he has the deftness of touch that only elite players possess. Unfortunately, though his 2014 form has been a marked improvement it is unlikely that he will ever reach his potential.

I watch movies and I watch sport. I also watch movies about sport, and if there were a sport about movies I'd watch that too. The internet was the closest thing I could find.
