10 UFC Bloodbaths You Need To See

Mixed Martial Arts is a bloody sport - make no mistake about it.

Mixed Martial Arts is a bloody sport - make no mistake about it. Bloody, however, doesn't always mean good, and MMA bouts should be viewed for the skill in the cage, not as some sort of real-life Troma flick, blood effects wise anyway. While watching guys stand and bang can be fun, mixed martial arts is just what the title says - an art. That having been said - there are some bloody good (pun fully intended) bloody brawls out there, and they're well worth watching. Generally speaking, bloody brawls that are allowed to go on are ones where one fighter is really staying the course, taking a beating but showing real heart, and while they don't always win (in fact they usually don't), they offer a glimpse into just how tough some fighters really are. When you get right down to it, continuing on when you're bleeding like a stuck pig takes a lot of heart, and any fighter who can pull it off while preforming at a high level definitely deserves our respect. How many pints of blood have been spilled in the octagon over the years? Who knows, but lets take a look at ten UFC bloodbaths you need to see. There's a little catch though - this list isn't just of bloody fights, but bloody fights that you need to see (in other words, even without the blood, they would have been good). The ranking will be based off how bloody and how competitive they were.
