11 Players That Signed For West Ham Twice

Some players just couldn't stay away from Upton Park.

The quality of football has always been of prime importance to West Ham fans, We have rarely seen success throughout our history and that's fine. Since the success of Ron Greenwood's West Ham team of the 1960s, we have seldom been close to traditional success. Over these years though, we have seen some fantastic West Ham teams, players and performances and that's what West Ham is all about. The fans long for good looking football and exciting, passionate players. Player's such as Paolo Di Canio and Carlos Tevez have lit up Upton Park in more recent years for this very reason, and have both stated their love of the club. The experiences players have endured through their times with West Ham have stuck with them, along with a strong feeling of togetherness and an admiration of the club and it's fans. It is not a surprise then, that many players have returned to West Ham to play after leaving; sometimes decades later, sometimes years later, and on occasion, months later.

11. Don Hutchison

Harry Redknapp purchased Don Hutchison from Liverpool in 1994 for £1.5 million, making an immediate impression as he scored on his début. His off field drunken antics often overshadowed his ability and he left to join Sheffield United just a year and a half later. In 2001, West Ham decided it would be a good idea to re-sign Hutchison for £5 million, breaking our transfer record in the process. He made little impact over the course of four seasons; he sustained an injury early on and struggled to get back into the first team.
