15 Worst Ever England Players

4. Zat Knight

Number of caps: 2 Yep, you read that right. Zat Knight, the towering former Fulham, Aston Villa and Bolton centre back has been capped for England. Not just once, but twice. Another of Sven's bright ideas, the lumbering defender made his two appearances in a summer tour of the United States in 2005. Over ten years later, still no one is quite sure why it happened. It's always good to have options, but with the likes of Sol Campbell, Rio Ferdinand, John Terry, Jamie Carragher and Wes Brown all available, it would take quite an injury crises for Knight to be called upon in a competitive game. So it proved; Knight did not appear again for England after outings against the US and Colombia. Makes one wonder why exactly he was called up in the first place.
