8 Biggest Body Transformations In UFC

2. Anthony Johnson

Anthony Rumble Johnson

Anthony Johnson makes the list not because of a dramatic body change post USADA, but because since he first entered the cage, ‘Rumble’ has fought in four separate weight divisions… sort of.

Going into his first run with the UFC, Johnson was a 3-0 Welterweight but his weight cutting issues became evident in only his second fight for the promotion. Johnson came in at 177.5lb ahead of his clash with Rich Clementi, 6.5lb over the limit!

This was a sign of things to come at Welterweight as only five fights later, he would once again miss the 171lb limit against Yoshiyuki Yoshida. Having built up an unimpressive 7-3 record and missing weight twice, Johnson made the move to Middleweight.

Well, Johnson TRIED to move to Middleweight. In his first bout at 185lb, he faced Vitor Belfort (the 2012 ripped version). After being instructed by the doctors to stop his weight cut, Rumble came in at an embarrassingly heavy 197lb.

The UFC had seen enough and cut Johnson from the promotion.Keen to stay at Middleweight, he met Dave Branch at Titan FC 22 but once again he missed weight coming in at 194.2lb. The bout went ahead at a catchweight and Rumble took the unanimous decision win.

In a final attempt to save his career from falling apart altogether Johnson made the move to the Light Heavyweight division, and what a decision it was. Rumble went to on build a 10-2 record, get a second run in the UFC, and go down as a Light Heavyweight great. He also had one bout at Heavyweight against Andrei Arlovski.
