Arsenal’s barren run without silverware is a running joke in the world of football.
Since Arsenal Last Won a Trophy.co.uk proudly displays a ticking clock boasting, pride of place on its homepage – 7 years, 7 months, 16 days, 21 hours, 24 minutes and 5 seconds.
That goes all the way back to May 2005 when Arsenal won the FA Cup. Since then, it has been one disappointment after the next for Wenger’s men, who have always seemed able to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory whenever the faintest whiff of success wafted into their nostrils.
Like the Carling Cup Final in 2011 when a mix up between Wojciech Szczesny and Laurent Koscielny allowed Obafemi Martins to steal an 89th minute winner as Birmingham somehow prevailed over the Gunners to once again leave Wenger with nothing.
Arsenal’s stint without a trophy can be put down to a number of factors, but chief among them is the simple fact that Wenger has brought in flops who simply are not good enough to wear the red and white Arsenal jersey.
Here, we take a look back at Arsenal’s biggest ever flops for your amusement and ours.

what about park?
What?! No Francis Jeffers? Pascal Cygan?!!
What about Igor Stepanovs?
What the hell? No Gervinho? Andre santos? Eduardo is on here though? Totally unfair he was in promising form prior to his injury? Stick to your American sports you yank. Hleb was primarily our CAM and playmaker in the middle of the park, he didn’t score many because he created them instead for Thierry Henry, Adebayor, Robin Van persie to name a few, and you’ve seriously never heard of his teams he’s played for? Do some freaking research. Shocking article.
Eduardo scored 21 goals in the 41 games he played for Arsenal. He was regarded as one of the most clinical finishers in the Premiership. Unfortunately he never regained his form after his horrific injury. To call him a flop just shows that your knowledge of football is non exsistent.
100% disagree with eduardo and hleb
Eduardo and Hleb were not flops. Arshavin hasn’t worked out as planned but still harsh to say a flop.
Surely Jeffers must be on there?!
I dont think chamark was wrong. When rvp and bentiner were injured chamark waz scoring until rvp comes back chamark was dropped..
What about Silveste he would definitely be the worst signing ever absolutely the worst signing at any club
Going out on a bit of a limb here but shouldn’t William Gallas count as one of Wenger’s biggest flops?
please you have transfer players in a short time.
