Aston Villa Transfers: 5 Strikers To Target In January To Cover For Christian Benteke’s Loss Of Form

Aston Villa are having a decent season considering they are getting no kind of form out of Belgium Striker Christian Benteke; Paul Lambert€™s team currently sit 11th in the league with 23 points from the 20 games that they have played so far. The 19 goals that they have scored though is one of the less impressive goalscoring records in the league; only Norwich, Cardiff and Crystal Palace have scored fewer. There is no doubt that at the heart of the problem is not having a player that looks capable of scoring regularly. I have already run through some creative options for the club to consider, but this all about adding another striker to their ranks to finish off the chances. Benteke started the season in a positive mood, but after injury has not managed to rediscover that form. Things were looking manageable with Libor Kozak hitting four goals from eight starts, but he recently broke his leg €“ meaning that Lambert must add to his striking options in this window to avoid being part of the battle for survival at the foot of the table. The purpose of this slideshow is to look into some of those options using Who Scored stats and opinion€
