The 22-year-old is seen as a long-term replacement for Jose Bosingwa who left Stamford Bridge at the end of last season, leaving the Blues with a gaping hole at right-back. Chelsea have already had a £6 million bid for the right back rejected earlier this week and are set to return with an improved offer of £8 million. Having joined Marseille in 2010 from Osasuna, Azpilicueta has become a regular player for the club playing in 45 games in last two years.
