Even though some high-profile players didn't perform up to standards, the others more than compensated for their lack of points with brilliant, individual performances beyond what many people expected. Since it's a double fixture gameweek, changes to your squad are not allowed, and hence in this issue of
Fantasy Premier League: The Comprehensive Guide, it'll be an excellent opportunity to look at our top performers in recent matches who are playing the second fixture this week, make some predictions on how they will perform and follow up with decisions in Gameweek 32's edition of the guide. This will help drastically narrow down the players for consideration, and a more focused approach means better analysis and less impulsive or uneducated buys. The guide will be more concentrated on the defenders, as many offensive players who deserve to be observed will not be playing further this week. Reliable attacking players were more or less covered in previous editions and will be included in Gameweek 32's guide, needing no further introduction. A lot of Fantasy Football players have issues with their defense department, with either a substitute not getting enough gametime, or not being able to find a budget option to free up some cash to upgrade the other areas in their rosters. Today's edition will help you guys with that, but before we start making the introductions, let's take a look at this week's remaining fixtures. Arsenal will look to recover from a devastating defeat at the hands of bitter rivals Chelsea when they entertain Swansea City tomorrow at the Emirates Stadium. Since their opening day defeat against Aston Villa, Arsenal has never lost at home, winning 10 matches and drawing three. Swansea midfielder Michu has been introduced two times from the bench in his last two games after recovering from injury, and looks set to take his chances after scoring a brace against the Gunners back in December 2012. In the Manchester derby, Yaya Touré and company look set to win against United, who seem to be enjoying something of a resurgence in recent weeks, winning three of their last four games, keeping clean sheets in those victories. In-form City however, has scored 23 goals in their last 10 games, eight more than United, and conceding only six times compared to United's 10. Newcastle take on Everton on home soil. The former's on loan Dutch striker Luuk De Jong has not scored a league goal this season for either Borussia Monchengladbach or Newcastle United, while Romelu Lukaku has now scored 11 goals and assisted five teams in 18 starts this season. Hull City travel to West Ham United, while Liverpool host a beleaguered Sunderland, who only picked up one out of a possible 12 points in their last four matches.
