Man City: The Truth Behind Roberto Mancini's Sacking

"There wasn't the togetherness between player and manager."
He continued to explain:
"Basically, Mancini just ignored players from day one. He was the manager, he made decisions, he made no attempt to have any sort of relationship with the players, didn't take them under his wing. It was very much, 'I'm the manager, I'll do my thing, I'll pick the team and then I'll disappear'.
Mancini became Manchester City manager in December 2009 and after three-and-a-half years at the City, his time has come to an end. Mancini criticised several players in March 2013 commenting on Vincent Kompany€™s international decisions as well as claiming Joe Hart wasn€™t €œup to it€ and even stressing he would like €œto punch€ Samir Nasri. Mancini€™s biggest bust-up came when he was caught by the press fighting with Mario Balotelli in a training session in January 2013. Mancini was seen several times furiously shouting at players during matches and constantly made examples of theses players in his post-match interviews. The favourite to become the new Manchester City boss is Malaga€™s Manuel Pellegrini, despite the former Real Madrid manager denying claims he had signed a deal with Manchester City. Source: BBC Sport
