Man United Transfer News: Angelo Henriquez Deal Close?

Sir Alex Ferguson is looking to make Chilean Angelo Henriquez his fourth summer signing.

With Robin Van Persie all set to join Nick Powell and Shinji Kagawa at the Theater of Dreams, veteran manager Sir Alex Ferguson is looking to make Chilean Angelo Henriquez his fourth summer signing. The player himself revealed that his move to Old Trafford is more a case of "when" and not "if". Speaking to daily Chilean newspaper La Tercera he stated:
"I am fulfilling a dream that I have had for a long time and I will be able to realise it soon, I will meet with Alex Ferguson and talk about what he wants from me. I cannot waste this opportunity because it is something I've wanted all my life."
At just eighteen, the player, who currently belongs to Universidad de Chile, would not likely walk straight into United's starting XI. Rather, he would likely find himself loaned out to gain valuable experience, and in such instance he would prefer to go back to Universidad for a short period. Henriquez may have been a tennis player had he not discovered football as a thirteen year old. He has been with Universidad ever since, making his debut as a 17 year old in 2011. Since then, he has scored an impressive 15 goals in 28 appearances, causing sports magazine Four Four Two to name him as one of the top five U-17 players in world football. He has represented Chile at various levels, including the Under 15, Under 17, Under 20 and Under 23 squads.
