Man Utd Next Boss: 10 Replacements For Louis Van Gaal

9. Ronald Koeman

Maybe Manchester United appointed the wrong Dutch manager. As Van Gaal struggled to put his stamp on the Premier League, a former rival of his has done it with relative ease in Ronald Koeman. A legend of Dutch football, Koeman has continued the good work that Pochettino started at Southampton, and also recorded two famous victories at Old Trafford. The job he did at Southampton last season was nothing short of remarkable following the sale of so many key players, but he managed to rebuild the squad and qualify for the Europa League. It seemed unlikely that Koeman would be able to repeat those achievements this season, especially after key players were sold again in Morgan Schneiderlin and Nathaniel Clyne. However, Southampton sit four points off a Champions League place and are breathing down the neck of LVG's side. If Koeman was given the chance to take over at Manchester United, then it would be the biggest job of his career. He has conquered the Eredivise with PSV and Ajax, won the Copa Del Rey with Valencia, and shown he is more than capable of managing a big club in England.
