Man Utd Next Boss: 10 Replacements For Louis Van Gaal

10. Mauricio Pochettino

If Manchester United are going to ask Sir Alex for his take on who should be the next United boss, then Mauricio Pochettino will most definitely be in the frame. According to Tottenham MP David Lammy, the Scot is a huge admirer of the Spurs boss, and described him as "the best manager in the Premier League." Whether or not Pochettino would be willing to leave Tottenham, there is no doubt that the Argentinean has proven himself to be one of the top managers in England since he was controversially appointed Southampton manager in 2013. Since taking over at White Hart Lane, Pochettino has transformed an inconsistent Tottenham side into potential title winners, with his side being the closest threat to Leicester City with seven games remaining. He has managed to create a young side capable of challenging on all fronts, which is exactly what Manchester United want. With a core of English talent, Tottenham could clinch the Premier League crown while Man Utd languish in sixth with a crop of foreign players who have failed to live up to their lofty fees. Pochettino is a demanding manager but does not rule through fear like Fergie, but could still be a huge success at Old Trafford. However, it is unlikely that he would be willing to ditch his ongoing Spurs project so soon.
