When news broke last week that Borussia Dortmund’s prolific striker Robert Lewandowski could be joining Manchester United in the New Year, plenty of eyebrows will have been raised.
After all, United already have four strikers at the moment in the shape of Wayne Rooney, Javier Hernandez, Danny Welbeck and of course, Robin van Persie, who only just signed for the Red Devils last summer.
One more striker then would be the last thing United need, you’d be forgiven for thinking, particularly when you consider their current strike force have managed an amazing 50 goals so far this season.
There are also more obvious areas of this squad that are crying out for improvement. Defensively, United have been woeful so far this season. They have leaked 28 times so far – Premier League basement side QPR have only conceded 5 more than that.
Then again… Maybe there is room for Robert Lewandowski in this side. All it takes is an injury here and there, a suspension or two, and all of a sudden you have a team that could end up looking a little bit stretched, and in a title race run-in, that could mean the difference between failure and glory.
Here then are five reasons why Manchester United must sign Robert Lewandowski.

I think dat’s the best Robert Lewandowski is a great player and a good replacement for Van persie
Fergie should buy Lewandowski, sell Danny and shift rooney in center mid position :)
Buying Lewandoski is the best thing as it ll strengthen Manu attack and help in league pursuit
I think SAF should pls sign Lewandowski for that price and also the parners of kagawa and lewandowski would go a long way in ensuring UNITED won the league.Knowning fully that welbeck is inexperience player with little stamina, so this would be a full future replacement.
He is a world class player, thats why we should buy him.
Rooney WILL become a midfielder – why not use his enormous engine in the engine room?
Before this season I wanted us to sign Kagawa, Lewandowski and Javi Martinez. If we can get 2/3 in a couple of years, I might forget that I think Ferguson is tactical moron and that he keeps players that should never have been wearing a United shirt. And I am not talking about Welbeck…
Utd will not buy him and he is not required. Already overloaded in the striker department and big strikers like him are not in vogue in the EPL anymore.
I will keep Chicarito thank you
Wont happen
Lewandoski is agreat player he deserve to get line up old tarafford what we need as man united is midfield and defend welcom with open hands and share ynur friend kagawa bitter and sweet byby
Up up utd we are welcome 2 lewandowski into oldtrafford 4d purpose of helping us
Ok then lets buy a guy we dont need, we just dump that useless guy who cant scored- welbeck, to do it.
farguson pls buy lewandoski is a great player 4 us nw and 4 ever
United most sing lewandoski 2 replace welbeck
Man utd should not hesitate to buy a world class striker like lewandowski. He ‘s a great player dat can afford to bring in the spirit of unity nd team work at old trafford. We should buy him to attain our expected objectives. IBATOR .W. TEDDY.
Sir A Fergle you must buy lewadosck 2 help us 2 win trophes as man united.
well am an arsenalfan i really dn’t knw wt SAF wnts 2 use Lewandoski for unless he plays in d midfield cz manu’s midfield isn’t coherent unlike B4
