Newcastle United take on Maritimo in their first Group game of the Europa League this afternoon at the Estadio dos Barreiros. Kick-off is at 6pm (both UK and Local time) and the match will be screening live on ESPN television in the UK.

Newcastle boss Alan Pardew has rested first teamers Papiss Cisse, Demba Ba, Jonas Gutierrez and Yohan Cabaye who have not travelled out to Madeira. Missing through injury are Tim Krul, Ryan Taylor, Danny Simpson, Fabricio Coloccini and Cheick Tiote.
As Shane Ferguson, Sammy Ameobi, Dan Gosling and Mehdi Abeid all played in the club’s Reserve fixture against Sunderland on Tuesday night, they likely won’t play tonight.
Hatem Ben Arfa is suspended for his final Europa League ban, spanning from an incident when he played for his previous club Marseille.
