Newcastle Midfielder Confirms He's "Going" This Summer
Vuckic is on his way out of St James' Park.
Haris Vuckic has confirmed that he's leaving Newcastle United this summer - with the midfielder revealing Steve McClaren told him it was the "best way" for both parties if he moved on. The 22-year-old stated last month that he wanted to be given one last opportunity to impress at St James Park, but McClaren has told Vuckic he does not feature in the Magpies plans going forward. HITC Sport claimed that Vuckic has a whole host of options, however - with Rangers competing with Championship sides Hull City, Bolton Wanderers, Burnley and Bristol City for the attacking-midfielders signature. 
"It's true, I'm going. I spoke with the coach who did not see me in his plans, so we all together decided that (was) the best way for me. "I respect the decision of the coach and go on. "I think I am well prepared and even more so, I am determined. "I want (to go to) somewhere where I will play."Vuckic was farmed out on loan to Scottish Championship side Rangers in February after interim head coach John Carver made it clear the attacking-midfielder did not fit into his plans. In 18 appearances for Rangers, Vuckic contributed nine goals but was unable to help the club win promotion back to the Scottish Premier League after they lost the two-legged play-off final to Motherwell. Capped once by his country, Vuckic has made 19 senior appearances for Newcastle to date and he has been loaned to Cardiff City, Rotherham United and Rangers during his time on Tyneside.
