Newcastle Transfer News: Georginio Wijnaldum Gives Magpies And Liverpool Hope

The 24-year-old goal-scoring midfielder has sent out a "come-and-get-me" plea.

Newcastle United and Liverpool have been sent what is effectively a "come-and-get-me" plea by Georginio Wijnaldum - with the Dutch midfielder admitting he could leave PSV Eindhoven this summer. Wijnaldum has already been capped 18 times by Holland, scoring twice, and is regarded as one of the most-promising players in Europe due to the fact he has a habit of finding the back of the net. Both the Magpies and Liverpool have been keeping tabs on the 24-year-old and it now appears as if Wijnaldum has decided he would like to move to the Premier League imminently.
Speaking to Dutch media outlet SoccerNews, Wijnaldum said:
"It could be that I leave this summer. This award (the Eredivisie's Golden Boot) shows that you have been (playing) well over a whole season. "There (are) clubs (who) will look at me. But at this moment everything is still open for me."
Wijnaldum has already won three trophies with PSV Eindhoven and has made 152 appearances, scoring an impressive 56 times from midfield, since moving there from Feyenoord in 2011. The midfielder also netted for Holland during the 3-0 third-place play-off win over Brazil at last year€™s World Cup.
