Newcastle United will confirm Premier League survival if they beat an already relegated Queens Park Rangers today at Loftus Road. Anything less and it could go down to the final day of the season if Wigan manage to get points away from the Emirates against Arsenal on Tuesday night.

For QPR, there’s only pride to play for in the final home game of Premier League football for at least a season.

Here’s the team news ahead of the game

Christopher Samba will be missing for the home side with a long term knee injury ruling him out. Andrew Johnson will miss the final two games of the season with his own knee problem, whilst Shaun Wright-Phillips is sidelined with an ankle problem.

Shaun Wright-Phillips (ankle) and Andrew Johnson (knee) will miss the remainder of the season – both have undergone surgery.

French international Mathieu Debuchy returns for Newcastle after serving his one-match suspension for picking up two yellows against Liverpool two weeks ago. However injury rules out first choice ‘keeper Tim Krul, first teamers Davide Santon, Moussa Sissoko and squad players Shola Ameobi, Sylvain Marveaux, Ryan Taylor and Haris Vuckic.

Late reports over the weekend also suggested that Steven Taylor wouldn’t feature in today’s game.

Here’s the likely line-ups;

QPR: Green, Bosingwa, Onouha, Hill, Traore, Derry, Jenas, Granero, Remy, Zamora, Taarabt

Newcastle: Elliot, Debuchy, Coloccini, Mbiwa, Haidara, Ben Arfa, Tiote, Cabaye, Gutierrez, Gouffran, Cisse
