Newcastle United will be in the Premier League next season, but how will their squad look? The transfer window is almost upon us and the rumour-mill has already been in overdrive drumming up possible incomings and outgoings from St James' Park over the next couple of months. The Magpies need to strengthen their defence, central midfield, out wide, up front - well, basically everywhere in the team. It is not just numbers they need brought in either, they need proven, quality performers across the pitch. Ideally there would be some on-field leaders thrown into the mix too, because the Magpies have been severely lacking in that department recently. But what about outgoings? Undoubtedly there needs to be some players who are shipped out, while others may well pine for a move away having had to endure another frustrating Premier League relegation scrap on Tyneside. During the course of the 2014-15 season, Newcastle allowed 16 to leave the North East - be they permanently, on loan, or released - and recouped a combined £28 million for them. Some of that £28 million accrued was as a result of a couple of brilliant sales, while a few of the other players allowed to leave could well have been more important to Newcastle than the remainder of that money...
