Spurs: 10 Players Who Should Never Have Worn White

10. Alton Thelwell

Thelwell was signed by Spurs as a youngster and remained at the club for five years until his release in 2003. A clumsy defender, he made 21 appearances in total for the club, 18 of which were in the league, before moving to Hull City. Since then, his career has rapidly gone down hill, as he has gone on to play for the likes of London All Peoples' Sports Association, Newport County, Kettering Town and Carshalton Athletic. At the age of only 32, he currently plies his trade at Billericay Town in the Conference South (the 6th tier of English football) making it almost laughable that he was ever anywhere near the Spurs first team.
