9. Kazuyuki Toda
Glenn Hoddle brought this Japanese midfielder to the club on a year long loan deal from Shimizu S-Pulse. He was well and truly out of his depth in the Premier League. Toda made only four appearances for Spurs before moving on to ADO Den Haag in the Netherlands, where he only briefly stayed before returning to Japan with his first club and then with Tokyo Verdy, before moving around Japan and Korea on an alarmingly frequent basis. He currently plays for Warriors FC (formerly Singapore Armed Forces Football Club) where, at the age of 35, he has still only played a handful of games.
