Spurs Transfers: 4 Shock Moves AVB Could Make Before Window Shuts

avb Like most Premier League clubs, Tottenham have had a fairly quiet January transfer window. They created a bit of a storm by landing one-time Manchester United defender Zeki Fryers from Standard Liège, which prompted an angry reaction from Sir Alex Ferguson, and they also brought forward the deal for Schalke midfielder Lewis Holtby by five months due to the season-ending injury to Sandro. The feeling is though that Andre Villas-Boas, or "AVB" as he is commonly referred too, is in need of a new striker, especially given the worrying injury leading goalscorer Jermaine Defoe sustained recently, coupled with former Arsenal forward Emmanuel Adebayor's involvement in the African Cup of Nations. Spurs are without a win in four games now following draws with Norwich, United and QPR in the league along with the shock defeat to Leeds in the FA Cup, and if they are to get their season back on track and hang on to their fourth-placed spot, with Everton currently breathing down their necks, AVB may want to make a move in the transfer window. At this late stage though, any signing he makes now will come as a huge shock, especially with the midnight deadline looming large. Here are 4 moves he would make before the window closes.
