Now at Braga, the Guinea-Bissau-born striker has become much more prolific these days (having scored 13 goals in 18 league games this season) and has indeed become a fully-fledged Portuguese international, having gained five caps since his international debut last year. How would he fit in? Spurs need to sign two strikers. If, as expected, they sell the woefully out-of-form Emmanuel Adebayor, this will leave them with only Jermain Defoe as a senior goalscorer. And, if they bring in two more, they need one striker who won't immediately expect to be in the first eleven. Eder could be that player. He would make a fine option from the bench and, if Spurs opted to play 4-4-2, he could compete with Defoe for a starting berth alongside another top striker signing.
