When these two teams last met in the Barclays Premier League, Manchester United found themselves on the wrong side of a 3-2 score line courtesy of an outstanding Tottenham performance. Few will argue that Sir Alex’s men deserved anything from that match, so make no bones about it; he and his team will be out for revenge this Sunday.
United have been on an exceptional run in the League as of late, picking up no less than 22 points out of a possible 24 in their last 8 games, counting the likes of Liverpool, Manchester City and Newcastle amongst the teams that they have bested in recent weeks.
Tottenham have had an equally impressive run of results lately. They are unbeaten in their last six league matches, equalling their longest run without defeat under Andre Villas-Boas. They have won seven and lost only one of their last 10 league fixtures. But if September’s meeting between the two clubs showed us anything, it’s that form counts for nothing, and Spurs are more than capable of punishing the would-be champions.
So here are 5 key battles I believe that either side must win of they want to come away from White Hart Lane with three points. Click ‘next’ to get started.

Not sure i agree on your battles. I think Lennon v Evra will be much more important than Valencia and naughton and key to the much, also good chance BAE will start. Dempsey v vidic isn’t as important as
Defoe v Ferdinand and vidic!!! Dempsey will roam, we need defoe to get the goals,, And obviously RVP v Vets has got to be in there.
I do agree with you on the Lennon/evra battle, but most of the ones you listed I already covered in my piece for the fixture at old trafford, so I just didn’t want to basically copy that for this one :)
