Liverpool’s thursday night Europa League clash against Swiss team BSC Young Boys gave Brendan Rodgers a chance to field a youthful side of his own. You might say it was young boys versus the young boys on the night, however after an 8 goal thriller and defensive mistakes all over the pitch, what do we now know about the current Liverpool squad?
Anfield awaits Manchester United in the the Premier League on Sunday so here are five things to consider before the game:
1. Suso
I like the look of this lad. The 18 year old was at the centre of Liverpool’s attacking build up play all night, linking key passes and adding some much needed flare. I don’t think it will be too long untill we see the number 30 featured in the first eleven and making appearances alongside fellow teenager Raheem Sterling, who has arguably been Liverpool’s best player this season so far.
2. Goals!
We have hit the target! and for once taken our chances, with the first unit struggling for goals, it was refreshing to see a Liverpool team knock a few in, even if it did require a 4th minute own goal by Young Boys denfender Juhani Ojala. Goals breed confidence, and hopefully hitting the net 8 times will filter through to the players to face Manchester United.

Point 4. We only conceded 3 goals, other than that a nice piece of writing
Thanks David, yes well spotted. Somehow I missed that error, but it was my article and happy with the outcome since I have never done anything like this before, just the one mistake. my spell check would not of picked that up either so, will have to be more careful. off to Anfield now for the big game!
