10 Game Of Thrones Celebrity Cameos You Totally Missed

From the strongest man in Europe to an impaled US President, Thrones has it all.

Not only is Game Of Thrones wildly popular with the fans, but the phenomenon has branched out in to the celebrity world, with famous faces always being lined up star in the hit series. The show has skyrocketed plenty of young, British actors into the Hollywood spotlight, with Emilia Clarke and Kit Harington two of the main benefactors, though the series has also included some extra guests in the background as its popularity continues to grow. Reports have emerged which suggest that Kanye West is possibly being lined up for a role in Westeros, while the writers have already asked Ed Sheeran about a cameo, though he hasn't been able to fit a filming session into his touring routine. Sheeran has recently came out in media to call out the producers, stating that he's free, available, and ready to roll into the Seven Kingdoms if they can squeeze him in. Singer Lily Allen - sister of Alfie Allen, who plays Theon Greyjoy - was asked to play the part of his sister in the show, but she turned down the part as it would've resulted in a Luke and Leia-esque situation before Theon realised Yara was actually his close relative. But who did accept the offer to feature on the hit HBO show? Here are 10 cameos you might have missed the first time around...

Honourable Mention - George W. Bush

Surely this has got to be one of the most infamous 'cameos' of all time. Okay, so the producers didn't go and hack the head off a former-US President just for the show, but they did sculpt a George W. Bush head and shoved it on a spike alongside Ned Stark's. "It's just... We had to use what heads we had lying around," explain Benioff and Weiss on the DVD commentary, joking that the head had been used dotted around in several scenes, though controversy exploded after it was brought into the public domain. HBO have profusely apologised for the inclusion, while the two creators released a statement saying: "We use a lot of prosthetic body parts on the show: heads, arms, etc. We can't afford to have these all made from scratch, especially in scenes where we need a lot of them, so we rent them in bulk. After the scene was already shot, someone pointed out that one of the heads looked like George W Bush. We meant no disrespect to the former president and apologise if anything we said or did suggested otherwise."
