10 Marvel Superheroes Who Should Join The Defenders

Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, Iron Fist and... ?

Though it€™s still some way off, Marvel€™s forthcoming Netflix series The Defenders is slowly coming together, and it looks as though it might just turn into something quite special. Obviously the first seasons of Daredevil and Jessica Jones were well received by fans and critics alike; Luke Cage has been effectively set up for his own show; a whole host of extraneous characters have already been introduced, including The Punisher and Electra Natchios from Daredevil Season 2, and most recently, Game of Thrones's Finn Jones has been excellently cast as the fourth member of the team, Iron Fist. The individual shows have also started to establish a few connections, not only to themselves but to the larger Marvel universe as well. Not only are there countless references to the MCU, they€™re also threads tying the four Netflix series to the wider Marvel mythos, including the likes of The Runaways (an exciting MCU rumour that just doesn't seem to want to die). Given that the shows keep expanding, and new heroes and villains are continuously being introduced, there€™s been plenty of speculation as to who might crop up in the near future. Obviously not all Marvel superheroes would fit perfectly into the team€™s dynamic: some are better suited to the MCU, some are too overpowered or generally otherworldly, and some just wouldn€™t serve much of a function beyond bolstering the numbers a little. With that said, here are the 10 best choices for heroes who should definitely join The Defender€™s team.
